Kazuki
In the Corridor of Reflection, hope lay dying.
The Elders had marvelled at the boy, abandoned at the doors of The Tower eleven solar cycles previously. They immediately saw his potential and named him Kazuki. He would grow to save them all; save the world.
But they failed him: never warning him to be wary of the monster with the green eyes, who wears a man’s face; never considering a fellow Fledgling would conceal such resentment in their heart or a knife within their robes.
In the Corridor of Reflection, a river ran crimson.
Elsewhere, a monster reflected, well satisfied.
