It’s Friday Fictioneers time again. The challenge is to write 100 words based on a weekly photo prompt chosen by our host Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Check out her blog for more information by clicking here. Apologies to my fellow writers for my lack of activity last week. It was quite a busy one and I didn’t get time to read or give feedback on as many stories as I would have liked. I’ve got to make a couple of train journeys this weekend which should improve my participation! As always thank you in advance to all who take the time to read, like or comment.

Infinity
“Do it!”
I obliged. Turning my thoughts inward, I reached for that secret place and touched infinity.
Suddenly I was everything: the clothes, the utensils, anything that once held a memory. Even the dust. I gathered all these pieces of myself and raised them up high.
“Whoa!”
I was them too. The ones who had bullied and teased but now stood in awe. Awe that would turn to fear. Fear to hate. I saw it all.
Such fragile things. So easily broken.
The lamps burned bright then shattered. I closed my eyes against the darkness and smiled at their screams.
