It’s Friday Fictioneers time! The challenge is to write 100 words based on a weekly photo prompt chosen by our host Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Check out her blog for more information by clicking here. I was late in writing last week’s story ‘A different word for fear‘ and then forgot to add it to linkup. Please check it out if you are interested. Thank you to all who take the time to read, like, or comment.

Time’s End
“If I could go back,” the boy sobbed, “I would do it all differently.”
I smiled at his youthfulness
“And then? What fresh disaster might you be ploughing through now? Our time here is like a wheel: sometimes we’re raised up high, other times we’re driven into the dirt.”
“But, everything I’ve done – ”
“Is already done. Sadly, we can never know which actions we will regret the most until our rotation ends.”
I held his face in my hands. A sharp twist was all it would take.
My last words echoed in my mind.
