It’s Friday Fictioneers time! The challenge is to write 100 words based on a weekly photo prompt chosen by our host, Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Check out her blog for more information by clicking here. Apologies for my delay in responding to any recent comments. I do read them when I get the email notifications and they are very much appreciated. I’ll catch up soon.

Newton’s Window
The window was open. It shimmered before him, golden and beautiful. Newton marvelled at it. The last person to create such a phenomenon was his great-grandfather, just days before his disappearance. He had left clues to its creation behind in his journal. Clues which three generations of descendants had failed to decipher. Until today.
Dear Beatrix.
I have to know what is on the other side.
If there is a way back I will find it.
If not, please don’t follow me.
I love you.
Daddy
Leaving the journal on the floor, Newton stepped through the window. Into the unknown.
