Time for another Friday Fictioneers entry. The challenge is to write 100 words based on a weekly photo prompt chosen by our host Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. Check out her blog for more information by clicking here. Thank you to all who take the time to read, like or comment.

Murder
There were more of them today, perched in formation along the telephone wire.
“More! More!” said Asher, as if reading his thoughts.
“You can see them? The orderly said they were in my imagination.”
Asher stared out of the window, rocking on his toes and tapping his hands together rhythmically.
“Can you…hear them too?”
“Caw! Caw!” Asher laughed wildly.
Diggory sighed, that wasn’t what he meant. He rubbed his cloudy left eye, remembering the beak that had pierced it.
The collective name is a murder of crows.
Who had told him that?
Ava.
Eighteen pairs of eyes watched him intently.
