Multiple paths, one destination
“What does this place tell you?” She asked, dancing between the carriages, scarf billowing in her wake.
I hugged my arms and looked around the train depot.
“That it’s the perfect place for a murder?”
She laughed and pitched forward into a handstand.
“The tracks, silly. Look how many there are: they all come to the same place.”
“So?”
“Think about it! Whichever track we choose, whichever direction we head in, we’re all just travelling towards the end of the line.” She stopped dancing and leaned against me, suddenly serious. “It’s about enjoying the journey.”
